Abstract
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou politických procesů v 50. letech 20. století, konkrétně životním osudem politického vězně Jaromíra Kopeckého. Práce se nejprve věnuje životu Jaromíra Kopeckého před zatčením, kdy působil mimo jiné jako vyslanec Československa v Ženevě. Dále následuje stěžejní část práce, která pojednává o celém procesu s Kopeckým. Popisuje zatčení, vazbu, jeho spojení s procesy s Rudolfem Slánským a Miladou Horákovou a spol., hlavní přelíčení a rozsudek. Prostor je věnován i výkonu trestu a životu, který vedl po propuštění z vězení. Bakalářská práce analyzuje život jmenovaného československého vyslance a částečně i jeho rodiny v kontextu tehdejší doby. Snaží se poukázat na jednání komunistického režimu a útrapy, které byly politickým vězňům způsobovány.
This bachelor thesis deals with political trials in 1950s in Czechoslovakia, namely the fate of the political prisoner Jaromír Kopecký. The introductory part presents the life of Kopecký before he was arrested. He also held a position of ambassador of Czechoslovakia in Geneva during that time. The crucial part is focused on his own trial, arrest and sentence, which was connected to cases of Rudolf Slánský and Milada Horáková. Part of the text describes his life after he was released. This thesis analyses life of Jaromír Kopecký and his family in the context of that time. It highlights manners and behaviour of communism and suffering caused by this regime on political prisoners.
