Abstract
Tato práce se zabývá identitou místa a výtvarným oživením historického centra města Jičína ve východních Čechách. Řeší především prostředí hlavního Valdštejnova náměstí, jemuž se v současnosti nedaří plnit jeho primární funkci jakožto místa setkávání se. Polemizuje o rozdílném působení místa umělého a přírodního. Zjišťuje současný stav konkrétní lokality a na základě žádosti vedení města Jičína hledá vhodné řešení stínících prvků do městského interiéru. Výstup se pohybuje na pomezí městského mobiliáře a site-specific instalace využívající textilní materiály, analogicky propojenými s živostí přírodních forem. Zásah má zvýraznit poznanou identitu města pomocí odkazu k mihotavému průsvitu jakožto světelné hře.
This work deals with the identity of the place and the artistic revitalization of the historic center of the city of Jičín in Eastern Bohemia. It mainly deals with the environment of the main Valdštejn Square, which is currently failing to fulfill its primary function as a meeting place. Discusses the different effects of artificial and natural places. He finds out the current state of a specific location and, based on the request of the Jičín city management, looks for a suitable solution for shading elements in the city interior. The output straddles the border between urban furniture and site-specific installations using textile materials, analogously connected with the vibrancy of natural forms. The intervention is intended to highlight the known identity of the city by means of a reference to the shimmering translucence as a play of light.
