Abstract
The thesis deals with the representative display of Fabian Wildfang's mineral collection and making it accessible to the public, which can further develop its potential and educate. It is not based on a specific assignment, but on my own interest in the field. The concerned area is situated in the south-western corner of Germany in the Black Forest region, which is historically important for its mining activity and the mineral collecting associated with it. The Wildfang collection contains over 1200 specimens and is one of the most important private collections in the world. The basic concept is to divide the exhibition into two buildings. The private part is located in the open area of the collector's garden and functions separately as a private depository with a gallery. The public part is on a plot of land in the city centre and contains a multifunctional space for exhibitions, lectures and workshops. At the request of the city, a small hotel is being conceptually designed together with the public part.
