Abstract
Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na architekturu a výtvarné umění za sultána Sulejmana I., vládce Osmanské říše (1520-1566). Cílem práce je analyzovat a popsat architektonické stavby, jakou je především Süleymaniye, a významná výtvarná díla, která v této éře vznikla. Metodologický přístup spočívá v syntéze odborné literatury týkající se osmanských politických a především kulturních dějin za vlády Sulejmana. Výsledkem práce je přehled dvou složek uměleckého dědictví Sulejmanovy éry a má přispět k pochopení jeho vlivu na osmanskou kulturní tradici v konceptu "zlatého věku".
The bachelor thesis focuses on architecture and visual arts during the reign of Sultan Suleiman I, ruler of the Ottoman Empire (1520-1566). The aim of the thesis is to analyze and describe architectural buildings, such as Süleymaniye in particular, and the important works of art that were created during this era. The methodological approach consists in synthesizing the literature on Ottoman political and especially cultural history during the reign of Suleyman. The output of the thesis is an overview of two components of the artistic heritage of Suleiman's era and is intended to contribute to the understanding of his influence on the Ottoman cultural tradition in the concept of the "Golden Age".
