Abstract
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá stále aktuálním tématem genderové segregace trhu práce, jejími příčinami a důsledky. Práce se nejprve věnuje segregaci ve vzdělávání a jejímu vlivu na genderovou segregaci trhu práce. V této části je popsán vliv genderu a genderových stereotypů na proces socializace a vzdělávání, které se nutně promítají i do pozdějších studijních a posléze i pracovních aspirací dívek a chlapců. Další část práce se soustředí již na samotný trh práce. V úvodu této kapitoly je představen historický kontext genderové segregace, který mapuje vývoj participace žen na pracovním trhu. Následně práce představuje příčiny a důsledky genderové segregace s důrazem na hlavní důsledky, mezi které patří nerovnosti v odměňování, podhodnocení ženské práce a rozdíly v kvalitě práce a pracovních podmínek. V poslední části práce mapuje nejčastější zaměstnání českých mužů a žen na základě dat Českého statistického úřadu z roku 2018. Práce dospívá k závěru, že genderová segregace trhu práce stále přetrvává i v dnešní době a z dostupných dat není patrné její snižování, v posledních letech je naopak zaznamenán její mírný nárůst.
The diploma thesis deals with an up-to-date topic of gender segregation of labour market, its causes and effects. The thesis at the beginning deals with segregation in education and its influence on gender segregation on the labour market. In this part one can find a description of an influence of gender and gender stereotypes on the process of socialization and education that project necessarily into study and later into work aspirations of girls and boys. The next part of the thesis focuses on the labour market itself. At the preamble of this chapter the historical context of the gender segregation is introduced that maps a development of female participation on the labour market. In following chapters, the thesis introduces causes and effects of the gender segregation with an emphasis on main impacts including mainly an inequality in rewards, undervaluing of female work and differences in work quality and work conditions. The last part maps the most common jobs of the Czech men and women based on data from the Czech Statistical Office from 2018. The thesis concludes that the gender segregation remains even in the current time and from available data there is no sign about any decrease, even more in last couple of years an increase can be observed.
