Abstract
Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou čtení v angličtině u dětí se specifickými poruchami učení na prvním stupni základní školy. Teoretická část diplomové práce nastiňuje specifika výuky anglického jazyka u dětí mladšího školního věku a rozebírá problematiku specifických poruch učení, především dyslexie. Tuto poruchu definuje, popisuje její příčiny a projevy. Zároveň uvádí zásady pro práci s dětmi se specifickými poruchami učení. Metodická část stručně popisuje postup reedukace dyslexie, speciální techniky pro nácvik čtení u dětí s dyslexií a také běžně používané techniky čtení ve výuce anglického jazyka. V praktické části diplomové práce je na základě teoretického studia literatury, analýzy učebnice, podrobném prostudování záznamů o dětech a na základě vlastních zkušeností s dětmi se specifickými poruchami učení, předložen návrh projektu, který využívá takových čtecích aktivit, jež motivují danou věkovou skupinu žáků, respektují potřeby žáků s dyslexií a zároveň vedou ke zlepšení čtecích dovedností. Závěrečná část diplomové práce analyzuje výsledky šetření a porovnává je s předpoklady shrnutými v hypotéze.
The diploma thesis deals with improving reading in English for children with special educational needs at the first grade of basic school. The theoretical part focuses on specific aspects of teaching English to young learners and analysis of specific educational needs, especially dyslexia. It defines this learning disability and describes its causes and consequences. This chapter further highlights the basic principles to keep in mind when working with these children. The methodological part briefly describes the procedure of re-education, special techniques of practicing reading in dyslexic children as well as common techniques of teaching reading in English language classes. The practical part of the diploma thesis contains the practical project design that is based on the study of theoretical conclusions, analysis of the respective textbook, detailed examination of the dyslexic children´s records, and my own experience with children with special educational needs. Finally, in the project implementation, reading activities that motivate young learners to read, respect the dyslexic children´s needs and at the same time help improve their reading skills were used. The final part of the diploma thesis analyses the conclusions of the investigation and judges them against the claims stated in the hypothesis.
