Abstract
Tato práce se zaměřuje na dobu 17. století spojenou s rozvojem mechanicismu,
nové vědy, ale také opětovným rozšířením staré atomistické nauky.
V následujících kapitolách jsou proto rozebrány nauky Descarta, Leibnize
a Newtona a jejich souvislosti s výše zmíněnými tématy. Zvláštní pozornosti
je věnováno nástinu atomistických názorů v rámci slavné debaty mezi
Leibnizem a Newtoniány. Hlavními nástroji práce jsou analýza a komparace
vybrané literatury, a její následná kompilace v tematický celek.
This thesis shall focus on 17th century. It was a time of development of mechanic philosophy and modern science and also the time of renewal of the ancient atomistic theory. The chapters to follow will describe thoughts of Descartes, Leibniz and Newton and focus on its parts which correlate to the topics mentioned above. It shall pay special attention to look upon atomistic arguments discussed in the famous debate between Leibniz and Newtonians. Primary tools of this thesis were the analysis and comparison of selected literature, and its subsequent compilation into a thematic whole.
