Abstract
Diplomová práce se zabývá historií krematoria v Semilech od jeho vzniku po ukončení technického zajišťování kremací v objektu v roce 1988. Úvodní část se věnuje společenským změnám v přístupu ke smrti v 19. a 20. století. Další kapitola nastiňuje religiozitu obyvatel českých zemí ve 20. století a její proměny ovlivňující pohřební kulturu a související s pojmy sekularizace či ateismus.Historii kremačního hnutí a jeho spolkovou činnost včetně československé pohřební legislativy popisuje prostřední část práce. Závěrečná pasáž pojednává o realizaci semilského krematoria a jeho provozu, který v období 1948?1989 představuje stěžejní kapitolu.
The diploma thesis deals with the history of the Semily Crematorium from its founding till the termination of technical provision of cremation in the building in 1988. The introductory part is focused on social changes and attitudes to death in the 19th and 20th centuries. The next chapter outlines the religiosity of the inhabitants of the Czech lands in the 20th century and its changes influencing funeral culture related to the notions of secularization or atheism. The history of the cremation movement and its association activities, including Czechoslovak funeral legislation, is described in the middle part of the work. The final passage deals with the realization of the Semily Crematorium and its operation, which, in the period 1948?1989, represents the key chapter.
