Abstract
Předmětem této práce je existencialistické dílo s názvem Tragický pocit života v lidech a národech a jeho autor Miguel de Unamuno. Hlavním cílem práce je zachytit unamunovský postoj ke smrti, uvést její rozličné podoby a především navrhnout způsoby, jak smrtelnosti uniknout, a přiblížit se tak pro Unamuna k jedinému podstatnému problému, problému individuální nesmrtelnosti jakožto prodloužení tohoto konkrétního života se všemi jeho aspekty. Dílčím cílem práce je představit dílo a zařadit ho do správného kontextu. Práce je rozdělená do dvou hlavních částí. První část se věnuje širokému pojmu existencialismu a podobně široké osobnosti autora a snaží se oba definovat a určit faktory, které je ovlivnily. Dále objasňuje titul samotného díla, který zároveň vystihuje jeho hlavní myšlenky. Druhá část se soustředí na konkrétnější otázku, a to smrt z pohledu díla. Zaměřuje se nejdříve na tendence, kterými smrt vnášíme ještě do našeho života, jako jsou tendence definovat, tendence chtít být jinými nebo tendence se smiřovat. Poté se zaměřuje na způsoby, jak se smrti vzdálit a naopak se zvěčnit. Jedná se o lásku, Boha, nejistou naději, utrpení, smrt samu a nekonečný boj.
The object of this thesis is an existentialist essay The Tragic Sense of Life in Men and Nations and its author Miguel de Unamuno. The main objective of this thesis is to capture Unamuno´s vision of death, mention its diverse forms and primarily suggest manners how to escape death and approach according to Unamuno the only relevant problem, the problem of individual immortality as the prolongation of this concrete life including all its aspects. The partial objective is to present the essay and collocate it into its context. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is dedicated to the broad concept of existentialism and similarly broad personality of the author and it tries to define them and determinate factors which had an influence on them. Then it clarifies the title of the essay which expresses its main ideas. The second part of the thesis focuses on more concrete issue, which is the death in the essay. Firstly it focuses on the tendencies through which we bring death into our lives as the tendency to define, the tendency to desire to be different or the tendency to reconcile. Secondly it focuses on the manners how to digress from death and eternalize ourselves. It is about love, God, insecure hope, suffering, death itself and interminable fight.
