dc.description.abstract	The aim of this thesis is to introduce the concept of the completion of the tower of the cathedral in Plzen. The cathedral was planned with two towers in the portal, but the realization of the north tower remained only up to one floor. In the first part of the text I deal with the wider and closer analysis of the building complex, both from the perspective of historical as well as contemporary contexts of Plzen. In addition, I look and analyze features in the surrounding area. Afterwards a short mentioned list of important historical milestones of the cathedral follows, which then I analyze in those places which will affect the concept for the creation of a new tower. Eg. belonging cemetery, the original temple roof shapes, the cause of the existence of one tower. This follows an overview of dozens of churches with similar architectural design solution. Own way tower design draws from the resulting intersection of two sets. The intersection of a set of requirements for the construction and of a set of current trends in architecture, this aims at the use of tensegrity structure and archetypal shape of the tower.	en
dc.description.abstract	Cílem předložené práce je představení konceptu dostavby věže plzeňské katedrály. Katedrála byla plánovaná s dvojvěžím v portálu, ale realizace severní věže zůstala jen do výše jednoho patra. V první části textu se zabývám širší a užší analýzou areálu, a to jak z hledisek historických, tak i současných souvislostí Plzně. Dále se dívám a analyzuji funkce v okolním území. Následuje bodově zmíněný historický přehled významných milníků katedrály, který pak rozebírám v těch místech jež se dotknou konceptu pro vznik nové věže. Např. přináležející hřbitov, původní tvary zastřešení chrámu, příčina existence jedné věže. Na toto navazuje přehled desítky kostelů s podobným architektonickým řešením. Vlastní způsob navržení věže čerpá z výsledného průniku dvou množin. Průnik množiny požadavků na stavbu a množiny současných tendencí v architektuře, toto míří k využití tensegrity struktury a archetypálnímu tvaru věže.	cs
