dc.description.abstractTma je často vnímána jako něco, co je třeba osvětlovat a vylučovat, přitom si málokdo uvědomuje její nedostatek a vzácnost. Na jedné straně je tma děsivá, na druhé straně sublimní a posvátná, umožňující soukromí a intimitu. Disertační práce zkoumá téma tmy z několika pohledů, zejména jako prostředek senzorické deprivace. Vyzdvihuje její bohatý tvůrčí potenciál, význam tmy pro vnímání světla a jejich vzájemnou rezonanci. Mapuje prolínání psychologického a uměleckého výzkumu především v díle Jamese Turrella, Marie Nordman, Erica Orra a dalších umělců. Ti zkoumali hranice lidského vnímání vytvářením prostředí omezených od zevních stimulů, kde role účastníka přispívá k významu uměleckého díla. Jejich tvorba se stala zásadní inspirací pro realizaci výstavy Rezonance světla a tmy v Ostravském muzeu v termínu 21. 3. - 31. 5. 2019. Jako hlavní architektka výstavy jsem téma percepce a prožitku v potemnělém izolovaném prostředí měla možnost nahlédnout a zhodnotit z několika perspektiv.cs
dc.description.abstractDarkness is often understood as something that needs to be illuminated and eliminated. Only few realize its scarcity and preciousness. On the one hand, darkness is terrifying, on the other, sublime and sacred, allowing for privacy and intimacy. The dissertation explores the theme of darkness from multiple points of view, especially as a means of sensory deprivation. It highlights its rich creative potential, the importance of darkness for the perception of light, and their mutual resonance. The thesis maps the interweaving of psychological and artistic research, primarily in the work of James Turrell, Maria Nordman, Eric Orr and other artists. They explored the limits of human perception by creating environments restricted from external stimuli, where the role of the participant contributes to the meaning of the artwork. Their creations became a major inspiration for the Resonance of Light and Darkness exhibition held in the Ostrava Museum from 21st March to 31st May 2019. As the chief architect of the exhibition, I had the opportunity to view and evaluate the theme of perception and experience in a darkened, isolated environment from several perspectives.en
