Abstract
Tato bakalářská práce byla věnována problematice eutanazie, a to z pohledu aplikované etiky. Je tematicky zaměřena především na poskytnutí náhledu na danou problematiku na území České republiky. V úvodních kapitolách se zabývá zejména diferenciací pojmu eutanazie a vysvětluje rozdíly mezi jejími jednotlivými druhy a způsoby. Samostatné kapitoly jsou rovněž věnovány otázkám života a smrti, z hlediska filozofického či biologického. Nahlíženo je zde také na pojetí hodnoty a smyslu lidského života, role lékařů a zdravotnického personálu v terminálním stadiu života lidského individua nebo na paliativní péči, jako alternativu k eutanazii. Závěrečné kapitoly představují komparaci konkrétních argumentů pro a proti eutanazii od českých autorů, kteří se danou problematikou zabývají. Tyto názory jsou následně zhodnoceny a je z nich vyvozen závěr.
The bachelor thesis aims to analyse the question of euthanasia from the perspective of applied ethics. It is mainly focused on providing an insight into the subject of the thesis on the territory of the Czech Republic. In the first chapters, the bachelor thesis introduces the term euthanasia and explains the differences between its various forms. The rest of the chapters are concerned with the questions of life and death from a philosophical or biological perspective. However, these chapters also look into the concept of the value and meaning of human life, the role of physicians and medical staff in the terminal stage of life of a human individual, or palliative care, as an alternative to euthanasia. The final chapters compare the arguments for and against euthanasia from Czech scholars dealing with the issue. Subsequently, the thesis author summarises the data provided by the scholars and sets the outcomes.
