Abstract
Cílem této práce je zanalyzovat dopady protekcionismu na ekonomiku země. Autor se zaměřuje na historii protekcionismu v USA a zejména na éru protekcionistických opatření Donalda Trumpa. V první části práce jsou rozebrány teoretické přístupy k mezinárodnímu obchodu a jejich historický vývoj. Největší prostor je dán dvěma hlavním teoriím mezinárodního obchodu, liberalismu a protekcionismu. Dále jsou představeny organizace mezinárodního obchodu a obchodní smlouvy mezi USA a EU. Ve druhé části práce se autor soustředí na konkrétní příklady protekcionistických opatření v USA. Mapuje historii protekcionismu v USA a uvádí nástroje protekcionistické politiky a jejich dopady na ekonomiku i mezinárodní vztahy. Pomocí rešerše odborné literatury a analýzy dopadů protekcionistických opatření sestavuje doporučení pro firmy, které se potýkají s protekcionismem.
The aim of this work is to analyze the effects of protectionism on the country's economy. The author focuses on the history of protectionism in the USA and especially on the era of Donald Trump's protectionist measures. The first part of the thesis discusses theoretical approaches to international trade and their historical development. The greatest space is given to the two main theories of international trade, liberalism and protectionism. International trade organizations and trade agreements between the USA and the EU are introduced as well. In the second part of the work, the author focuses on specific examples of protectionist measures in the United States. He describes the history of protectionism in the USA and presents the tools of protectionist policy and their effects on the economy and international relations. Using a review of the literature and analyzing the impact of protectionist measures, author compiles recommendations for companies struggling with protectionism.
