dc.description.abstractDiploma thesis focuses on the interpretation of the term deflation and terms which are related to deflation or which could be mistaken for it. The thesis is classified into three parts for better lucidity. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical characteristics of the term deflation, further the cause of deflation and inflation through the macroeconomic models and its implication on an economy. The second part discusses the historical experiences of the two world powers, USA and Japan, concerning deflation. The third part of the thesis deals with the present circumstances and the present state of the world economies caused by the world financial crisis. At the close of the thesis there are specified recommendations for economic policy based on the historical experiences of the Japanese economy with deflation. The thesis also refers to the similarity between the Gold standard and the Euro. It critically analyses the headstrongness of the implementation of the Euro and highlights the recommendation for the Czech Republic regarding the acceptance of the Euro.en
dc.description.abstractDiplomová práce se zaměřuje na interpretaci pojmu deflace a termínů, které s deflací souvisí nebo s ní mohou být naopak chybně zaměňovány. Jejím cílem je podat ucelený přehled o této problematice. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí pro větší přehlednost. První část DP obsahuje teoretickou charakteristiku pojmu deflace, analyzuje příčiny vzniku deflace a inflace pomocí makroekonomických modelů a popisuje dopady deflace na ekonomiku. Část druhá vychází z historických zkušeností dvou světových velmocí, USA a Japonska, s deflací. Třetí část práce se zabývá současnou situací a stavem světových ekonomik v důsledku světové finanční krize. V závěru diplomové práce jsou specifikována doporučení pro hospodářskou politiku, založená na zkušenostech japonské ekonomiky s deflací. Práce také zmiňuje podobnost zlatého standardu se společnou měnou zemí EU, s eurem. Kriticky nahlíží na unáhlenost při zavádění eura a uvádí doporučení pro Českou republiku týkající se přijetí této společné měny.cs
