Abstract
Tématem bakalářské práce je kultura indiánů a Španělů a jejich porovnání na základě díla Álvara Núňeze Cabezy de Vacy Naufragios (Ztroskotání, 1542). Dané dílo je jedním z nejvýznamnějších spisů o původním obyvatelstvu Ameriky, a vyznačuje se tím, že popisuje detailně obyčeje, zvyky a tradice indiánů. Autor tohoto díla, Álvar Núňez Cabeza de Vaca, byl španělským dobyvatelem, mezi ostatními vynikal tím, že se snažil přátelsky chovat k indiánům a také tím, že byl schopen přijmout odlišnosti mezi různými kulturami. Podařilo se mu nejen přežít ztroskotání, ale také si získat důvěru a respekt indiánských kmenů, obývajících jižní část současných Spojených států amerických. Hlavním cílem práce je uvést základní charakteristiky indiánské kultury, zvyky a tradice a také postoj a chování ke Španělům. Dalším úkolem dané bakalářské práce je ukázat, jak osm let strávených mezi indiánskými kmeny ovlivnilo španělské dobyvatele, zejména autora díla Álvara Núňeza Cabezu de Vaca a jaké proměny nastaly po navázání těsných kontaktů s domorodými kmeny.
The topic of the bachelor thesis is the culture of the Indians and the Spanish and their comparison based on the work of Álvar Núňez Cabeza de Vaca Naufragios (Castaways, 1542). The work is one of the most significant works about America's native population and is characterized by the fact that it describes the customs and traditions of the Indians in detail. The author of this literary work, Álvar Núňez Cabeza de Vaca, was a Spanish conqueror, among others he excelled in trying to behave friendly to the Indians. He managed not only to survive after the shipwreck, but also to gain trust and respect of the Indian tribes inhabiting the southern part of the present United States of America. The main aim of the thesis is to state the basic characteristics of Indian culture, their customs and traditions, as well as the attitude and treatment towards the Spanish. The further task of this bachelor thesis is to show how the eight years spent among the Indian tribes influenced the Spanish conquerors, especially the author of the work of Naufragios, Álvar Núňez Cabeza de Vaca, and what changes occurred after establishing close contacts with the Indians.
