Abstract
Práce se věnuje historii ovocnářství, zahradnictví a sadařství v oblasti Libáňska a Jičínska. Zaměřuje se na městské školky, školní zahrady a konkrétně i na samostatný podnik Josefa Mazánka. Na základně archivního výzkumu a studiu literatury mapuje různé druhy zpracování ovoce ve zvolené oblasti. Informuje o mrazech let 1929 a 1939, výstavách a ovocnářských kurzech a kroužcích. Práce je doplněna o údaje ohledně prodeje ovoce prostřednictvím dražeb a o používaných postřicích na ovocné stromoví.
This thesis is focused on the history of fruit growing, horticulture and arboriculture in the Libáň and Jičín regions. It is targeting the city fruit nurseries, school gardens and, specifically, on Josef Mazánek's independent business. Based on the archive findings and the study of literature, it maps the various types of fruit processing in the selected area. It informs about the frosts of 1929 and 1939, exhibitions and fruit growing courses and clubs. The work is supplemented with data on the sale of fruit through auctions and on the sprays used on fruit trees.
