dc.description.abstract	My diploma work deals with the position of women and female managers in India. The base is represented by the real starting points in order to understand the status of women in normal as well as working life. The fast growing economy of India, historical and cultural traditions and religion are the most essential influences. Indians deeply believe in family bond and message of the past that strongly influence the present. The description of the current situation of women follows the starting point explanation. A positive trend is shown in promoting women to senior manager jobs. However, there are some barriers mentioned at the end of my diploma work. In parallel, proposals of possible improvements are given and these may enable India to use fully the talent of female half of the population.	en
dc.description.abstract	Diplomová práca sa zaoberá postavením žien a žien-manažérok v Indii. Základom práce sú reálne východiská pre pochopenie statusu žien v bežnom živote i vo firmách. Najpodstatnejší vplyv má rýchlo sa vyvíjajúca ekonomika Indie, historické a kultúrne tradície a náboženstvo. Indovia hlboko veria v puto rodiny a posolstvo minulosti, čo výrazne ovplyvňuje ich prítomnosť. Na východiská nadväzuje popis súčasnej situácie žien a žien-manažérok v Indii, kde sa ukazuje pozitívny trend v zamestnávaní žien na vyšších manažérskych pozíciách. Bariíry, ktoré však stále existujú, sú uvedené v závere diplomovej práce paralelne s návrhmi možných zlepšení, ktoré umožnia Indii naplno využiť potenciál ženskej polovice obyvateľstva.	cs
