Abstract
Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu týrání a zneužívání seniorů a špatného zacházení se starými lidmi (EAN). Cílem práce je zjistit povědomí seniorů o týrání a zneužívání seniorů.V teoretickém rámci definujeme pojmy senior, stáří a jeho důsledky na možný výskyt týrání a zneužívání seniorů. Popisujeme specifika přístupu k seniorům se zdravotním postižením, dále historii EAN a jeho výskyt ve společnosti. Definujeme projevy forem EAN a příznaky, jejichž podrobná znalost je klíčová pro efektivní detekování jednotlivých případů EAN. Faktem zůstává, že většina těchto případů je skryta a neodhalena, neboť oběti EAN mají tendenci týrání a špatné zacházení tajit zejména z důvodu studu a vlastního selhání. Lze konstatovat, že část odborné i laické veřejnosti nemá dostatečné povědomí o problému týrání a zneužívání seniorů, aby si jej byla schopna uvědomit a adekvátně na něj reagovat. Dále se podrobněji zabýváme etiologií a vznikem týrání a zneužívání seniorů. Popisujeme pojmy a jevy, které přímo souvisí s problematikou týrání a zneužívání seniorů, kde můžeme hovořit o pojmech, jako jsou Ageismus a Gender ve vztahu k syndromu EAN. Velmi podrobně, včetně kazuistik popisujeme výskyt násilí a syndromu týrání a zneužívání v domácím prostředí a ústavní péči. Dále se věnujeme pomoci obětem syndromu EAN ve formách prevence, edukace a obraně pomoci obětem násilí či týrání a zneužívání. V empirické části se přímo soustředíme na výzkum o povědomí seniorů o syndromu týrání a zneužívání seniorů. Výzkum realizujeme formou dotazníku. V závěru diplomové práce rekapitulujeme výsledky, ověřujeme stanovené hypotézy a svá zjištění shrnujeme v závěrečné diskuzi, kde se věnujeme hlavně tématu osvěty, prevence a edukace odborné i laické veřejnosti k tématu týrání a zneužívání seniorů.
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of Torture and Abuse of Elderly and Neglect (EAN). The aim of the work is to find outthe seniors' awareness of torture and abuse of seniors.In the theoretical framework, wedefine the terms as senior, old age and theircosequeences on the possible occurrence of torture and abuse of seniors. Wedescribs the specifics of access to seniors with disabilities, the history of EAN and its occurrence in society. Wedefine the manifestations of EAN forms andsymptoms, whose detailed knowledge is kye to the individual EAN cases effectivedetection. The fact remains most of these cases are hidden and uncovered, as EAN victims have tendency to hide torture and abuse, especially because oftheir ownshame and their failure. It can be stated that a part of the professional and lay public has insufficient awareness of abuse and abuse of seniors problem to be able to understand and adequately react to itto be able to understand and adequately react to it. Weare delaingl in more detail with aetiology and with the emergence of torture and abuse of seniors. We describe concepts and phenomena that are directly related to issues of tortureand abuse of seniors, where we can talk about concepts such as Ageism and Gender in relation to EAN syndrome. In very detail, including case studies, we describe violence and abuse syndromes in home envirenment and in institutional careenvironment. In addition we are also dedicated to helping, the EAN victims in forms of prevention, education and defense to help victims of violence or torture and abuse in all forms that occur. In the empirical part, we focuses directly on research on seniors' awareness of the syndrome of torture and abuse of seniors. The research is carried out in a form of a questionnaire. In the end of the thesis, we summarize the results, verifyestablishedhypotheses and summarizes findings in the final discussion, where we mainly focus on the topic of education, prevention and education of the professional and lay public on the topic of torture and abuse of seniors.
