| dc.description.abstract | In this project I explore the issue of national customs and differences in the culture of clothing among the individual continents. These differences are a factor of and are intimately tied to climatic conditions, which play a significant role in determining the extent to which clothing serves as protection against the elements, as well as religious and social criteria. The present project, however, is primarily a presentation of the basic textile techniques which are the most representative of the local traditions found on the individual continents. These techniques are batik, sublimation printing, transfer printing, weaving, knitting and tailoring, and each of them is thoroughly documented in its own chapter. In addition, a characteristic color was selected for each of the six main chapters. The models were thus designed not only from the perspectives of shape and style but also with the objective of how best to capture this characteristic color. They comprise two to three coordinated pieces based on the principle of an undergarment and outer layer, with the former most often fulfilling an illustrative function while the latter performs a descriptive one. Also visible is evidence of handmade elements, which represent an integral part of individuals{\crq} manifestations of thoughts about clothing. The character of these pieces should express as faithfully as possible the spirit of the native culture in terms of textile technique, style, color and choice of materials, with the overall goal of creating a well-balanced whole. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | Ve své práci se zabývám problematikou národních zvyků a rozdílů jednotlivých kontinentů týkajících se kultury odívání. Jim jsou dány a neodmyslitelně spojeny i podnební podmínky, které výrazně napomáhají určit míru zahalení, stejně tak jako i náboženská a sociální kritéria. Práce je ale zejména přehlídkou známých základních textilních technik, které se zde vyskytují co nejlépe uplatněné podle tradic, které charakterizují jednotlivé světadíly. Jsou to technika batikování, sublimačního tisku, přenosového tisku, tkaní, pletení a krejčoviny. Každá velká kapitola, jichž práce obsahuje šest, má řádně zdokumentovanou svou vlastní techniku. Ke každé také připadá jedna charakteristická barevnost, která se snaží model co nejlépe vystihnout i spolu tvarem a střihovým řešením. Modely sestávají ze dvou až tří částí na sebe navazujících a platí zde princip jakési spodničky a obalu, přičemž to první má častěji funkci ilustrativní a to druhé funkci popisnou. Jsou zde stopy ruční práce, která je nedílnou součástí projevu myšlenek na oděv. Přisouzený charakter má vyjadřovat náturu místa co nejvěrněji ve zvolené technice, střihu, barevnosti i materiálovém řešení a snažit se vždy o jejich provázání v harmonický celek. | cs |
