Abstract
This Bachelor work examines the phenomenon of Islamic banking, description of development, emergence and the establishment of the Islamic bank, explanation of prohibited Riba (interest), systém of the Islamic bank and the financial market. Considering the Jordan Islamic Bank for Finance and Investment (JIB) as a case study and discussing a profile of the bank, its supervision, function, ane the extent to which Islamic values determine the bank's priorities, fund utilization and its performance.
