Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of financing start-up companies in the Czech Republic with a focus on seed projects, i.e. at the initial stage when the only asset of the company is the innovative idea and the personality of the founders. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the possibilities and conditions of obtaining financial and development capital for Czech start-up companies in the seed phase. Chapter 1 deals with the definition and differentiation of the seed stage in general and in the context of external financing options. Chapter 2 focuses on the analysis of the venture capital market in the Central European region. Chapter 3 then provides a research and analysis of financing options for seed stage projects in the Czech Republic. A comparative evaluation of the analyses and the formulation of recommendations for Czech seed-stage start-up companies is included in the conclusion of the thesis. The main direction is then the focus on business angels and the possibility of starting a business in the complete (or minimal) absence of own financial resources.
