Abstract
The final paper deals with political-philosophical opinions of Murray N. Rothbard. The first part introduces Rothbard's life, emphasizing the significant moments which influenced his further thoughts. The main part of the paper focuses on the social ethical system. There are interpreted opinions on liberty, which is closely connected to the matter of ownership and self ownership. This part contains criticism of the state, because its existence cannot be justified without being incompatible to the demand for freedom. Subsequently, an idea is described which contains some ways how the free market could offer its service of defence which is nowadays provided by the state more effectively. The third part focuses on the comparison of Rothbard's work with theories of other political philosophers; it is mentioned what the authors agree with and what they differ on. At the end of the paper, Rothbard's thoughts are summarized together with presenting criticism of them.
