Abstract
Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu a komparaci motivů v dekadentní próze Jiřího Karáska ze Lvovic. Zkoumá sedm vybraných textů publikovaných mezi lety 1897-1921, mezi nimiž jsou Sodoma, Zazděná okna, Obrácení Raymunda Lulla, Sexus necans, Metempsychoza, Gotická duše, Tříkrálová legenda a Román Manfreda Macmillena. Cílem práce je identifikovat klíčové motivy (smrt, erotika, spiritualita, rituál, převtělení, prostorová klaustrofobie) a sledovat jejich vývoj v čase. Práce využívá kombinaci motivické analýzy, naratologického přístupu a kulturní interpretace. Součástí je syntetická tabulka výskytu motivů a shrnutí vývojových tendencí autorovy poetiky. Výsledkem je rekonstrukce Karáskovy mytologie jako soudržného estetického systému na pomezí symbolismu, dekadence a okultismu.
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the analysis and comparison of motifs in the decadent prose of Jiří Karásek ze Lvovic. It examines seven selected texts published between 1897 and 1921, including Sodoma, Zazděná okna, The Conversion of Raymund Lull, Sexus necans, Metempsychoza, The Gothic Soul, The Epiphany Legend, and The Novel of Manfred Macmillen. The aim is to identify key motifs (death, eroticism, spirituality, ritual, reincarnation, claustrophobic space) and trace their transformation over time. The thesis employs a combination of motif analysis, narratology, and cultural interpretation. A synthetic table of motif frequencies and developmental tendencies of Karásek's poetics is included. The study reconstructs Karásek's mythology as a coherent aesthetic system situated between symbolism, decadence, and occultism.
