dc.description.abstractThe bachelor thesis deals with the issue of integration of person with Down syndrome. It aims to find out possibilities and extent of the integration of persons with Down syndrome. The targets set have been achieved only partly. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical one is concerned with the mental retardation. Further on, it is dealt with the Down syndrome and its history, causes of origin, occurrence in population and all its specifics. Finally, this part concentrates on the integration itself, mainly in the school and work environment. The practical part investigates, on the basis of questionnaire, opinions, preparedness and attitudes of 17 headmasters of kindergartens, elementary and vocational schools, and company directors to the integration of persons with Down syndrome in three towns in the Highlands region. The second group of respondents is formed by four persons with Down syndrome. The results show that the persons with Down syndrome have a greater chance of integration in those school institutions where higher interest in the issue is taken. We have also found out that the persons with Down syndrome live a satisfactory life in our society. Although the sample group was small, thus the results cannot be generalized, some findings are worrying. Considering the theme, the answers of the handicapped respondents might be seen as the largest contribution of the work.en
dc.description.abstractBakalářská práce se zabývala problematikou integrace osob s Downovým syndromem. Jejím cílem bylo zjistit možnosti a rozsah integrace osob s Downovým syndromem. Stanoveného cíle se nám podařilo dosáhnout jen z poloviny. Práci tvořily dvě hlavní části. Teoretická část se věnovala mentální retardaci, dále pak samotnému Downovu syndromu jeho historii, příčinám vzniku, výskytu v populaci a všem specifikám, které toto postižení skrývá. V závěru této části jsme se zabývali samozřejmě samotnou integrací a to hlavně školskou a pracovní. Praktická část zjišťovala pomocí dotazníku názory, připravenost a postoje 17 ředitelů mateřských a základních škol, odborných učilišť a firem na integraci osob s Downovým syndromem ve třech městech kraje Vysočina. Druhou skupinou respondentů byli 4 osoby s Downovým syndromem. Z výsledků vyplynulo, že osoby s Downovým syndromem mají možnost integrace spíše ve školských zařízeních, které o tuto problematiku mají větší zájem. Také jsme zjistili, že osoby s Downovým syndromem žijí v naši společnosti spokojeným životem. I když se jednalo jen o malý zkoumaný vzorek, nelze jeho výsledky tedy zobecňovat, některá zjištění jsou však varující. Největším přínosem práce vzhledem k řešené problematice bylo možné považovat právě odpovědi samotných postižených osob.cs
