dc.description.abstract	Tato práce se zabývá podnětným světem vědeckofantastické literatury, se zvláštním zaměřením na filmy Inception (2010) a Interstellar (2014) od režiséra Christophera Nolana. Tyto snímky jsou v rámci filmové kritiky skloňovány jako příklady tohoto žánru a část odborné veřejnosti je dokonce považuje za významné příspěvky popularizující vědu (The Catalyst 2022, n.p.). Je nepopiratelné, že vědecky podložená science fiction si zaslouží odbornou pozornost, jelikož dokáže kriticky reflektovat možné důsledky a výzvy technologického pokroku, kterým bude lidstvo v budoucnu čelit. Tato práce si klade za cíl posoudit ty aspekty, které ovlivňují divákovo vnímání a porozumění vědeckým myšlenkám, konkrétně kompozici jednotlivých příběhů, jejich tematické prvky a míru spolupráce s vědeckými odborníky. K tomu je zapotřebí nejprve definovat "tvrdou" větev science fiction, popsat její určující znaky a význam v oblasti fikce. Následně se práce věnuje tvorbě Christophera Nolana a vytváří tak nezbytný základ pro posouzení, do jaké míry lze filmy Inception (2010) a Interstellar (2014) klasifikovat jako díla "tvrdé" science fiction. Na základě takto formulovaného teoretického rámce pak práce přistupuje k podrobné analýze obou filmů, přičemž se zaměřuje na identifikaci prvků charakteristických pro "tvrdou" science fiction. Cílem této práce je určit, zda Inception (2010) a Interstellar (2014) do této větve spadají, a současně poukázat na výjimečný charakter Nolanovy tvorby, která v rámci široké veřejnosti přispívá k popularizaci hlubšího vědeckého poznání.	cs
dc.description.abstract	This thesis deals with the captivating world of science fiction, focusing on Christopher Nolan's films, namely Inception (2010) and Interstellar (2014). These films have been claimed as examples of this genre. In fact, some believe that they have significantly contributed to the popularization of science (The Catalyst 2022, n.p.). It is indisputable that hard science fiction deserves scholarly attention for its capacity to critically engage with the potential consequences of technological advancement and the complex challenges it may present in the future. By examining the narrative structure, thematic concerns, and collaboration with scientific experts, this thesis aims to assess the extent to which they might have influenced viewer's perception and understanding of scientific ideas. First, the thesis focuses on hard science fiction, describing its defining elements and discussing its relevance within the field of fiction writing. It then proceeds to discuss Christopher Nolan's work, his narrative style and thematic research which informs his films, establishing a foundation for assessment of how Nolan's approach determines the possible classification of Inception (2010) and Interstellar (2014) as hard science fiction. Following the formulation of a theoretical framework, the thesis presents a detailed analysis of Inception (2010) and Interstellar (2014), focusing on identifying the elements of hard science fiction in the analysed works. By determining whether Inception (2010) and Interstellar (2014) can be classified as hard science fiction, the thesis seeks to highlight the exceptional nature of Christopher Nolan's films as tools for promoting scientific awareness and popularizing complex scientific concepts among the general public.	en
