Abstract
Diplomová práce John Cage a experimentální rozhlasová hra pojednává o Johnu Cageovi, který proslul nejen jako autor experimentálních hudebních kompozic a koláží, ale vynikl také v žánru rozhlasové hry. Těžištěm práce je jeho tvorba spojená s německým prostředím a Cageův přínos v oblasti tzv. Nové rozhlasové hry (Neues Hörspiel). Dále se práce zabývá jeho rozhlasovou kompozicí Roaratorio, která je v německém prostředí velmi ceněná a je inspirována literárním dílem Jamese Joyce Plačky nad Finneganem. Práce popisuje rozdíly i průsečíky mezi knihou a rozhlasovou hrou, nabízí i hlubší analýzu geneze tohoto významného díla. Jelikož se autor John Cage se svou tvorbou pohybuje na pomezí hranic mezi akustickou literaturou a hudbou, je část práce též věnována polemice o hranicích mezi těmito uměleckými oblastmi. V návaznosti na to jsou též popsány rozdílné koncepce jazykové reflexe v hudbě a literatuře.
The master thesis John Cage and the Experimental Radio Play deals with the American composer John Cage, who became famous not only for his experimental musical compositions but also for his radio plays within the German genre of Neues Hörspiel. The focus of the paper is Cage's work in the German-speaking radio play area and his contribution to this acoustic genre. The work deals then in detail with his radio play Roaratorio, the subject of which is James Joyce's book Finnegans Wake. Roaratorio remains highly respected in the German radio play milieu and has had a significant influence on the genre of the German acoustic literature as we know it today. Both the similarities and the differences between the book Finnegans Wake and the radio play Roaratorio are illustrated here, discovered above all thanks to the deeper analysis of the radio play's genesis. Since one of the author's distinguishing features is his cross-border tendency between the genre of New Music and the genre of Neues Hörspiel, this work deals respectively with the music in literature, the music in radio play and the so called Sprachmusik. The different conceptions of language reflection in music and literature are also described.
