Abstract
Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na prózu dvou významných představitelů generace májovců - Jana Nerudy a Vítězslava Hálka. V úvodní části je věnována pozornost společenskému a historickému kontextu 19. století, se zvláštním zřetelem na postavení dítěte v tehdejší společnosti. Následuje kapitola pojednávající o osobnostech Jana Nerudy a Vítězslava Hálka, jejich tvorbě a poetice, přičemž je akcentováno, jaké místo zaujímá motiv dítěte v jejich dílech.
Stěžejní část práce tvoří analýza vybraných próz obou autorů - zejména Nerudových Arabesek a Hálkovy povídky Na vejminku - se zaměřením na komparaci motivů dětství. Analýza vychází z programových statí májovců a jejich deklarovaného zájmu o zobrazení okrajových vrstev společnosti. Dílčí poznatky jsou zasazeny do širšího rámce zobrazování dětského hrdiny v české próze 19. století a dobového vnímání dětství.
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the prose of two representatives of the May generation - Jan Neruda and Vítězslav Hálek. In the first part, the thesis will focus on the social and historical context of the 19th century and the position of the child in contemporary society. Subsequently, I will deal with the person of Jan Neruda and Vítězslav Hálek and the poetics of their work, while at the same time outlining the position of the child in their literary work. The following part of the thesis will focus on the analysis of selected Neruda and Hálek works, such as Neruda's Arabesques and Hálek's short story Na vejminku, with an emphasis on the comparison of childhood motifs in the works of both writers. I will base my work on the program articles of the May generation and their proclaimed interest in the marginalized strata of society. Partial observations will be placed in the context of the depiction of the child hero in Czech prose of the 19th century and the position of children in society at that time.
