Abstract
This book, which forms No.10 in the Elsevier Textile Science and Technology series, is extensively advertised in issues 1.3 of the current volume of World Textile Abstracts. Information on the fine structure, properties (mainly pilling resistance, dyeability, flame resistance, soiling tendency and resistance to static charging) of modified polyester fibres is presented. New types of fibres and methods of physical and chemical modification are discussed. In addition, yarn production and the production of woven and knitted fabrics are examined. There are 412 references and a subject index.
