- ItemDesign and optimisation of NiTi pressure gauge(Mondragon Unibertsitatea, 2017-01-01) Huněk Martin; Plíva ZdeněkThis paper describes construction of NiTi pressure gauge possible application mostly in an automotive. The aim is to present data of an electrical properties based on multiple input variables – the mechanical stress and the temperature of surrounding environment. Last aim of this paper is to describe development of the software for optimisation of the sensors shape to reach given force range, to ensure that maximal strain wouldn’t be crossed and to come up with a solution of compensation of sensors resistance temperature drift and nonlinearities. NiTi wires are very thermal dependent, but they shows also several advantages including large recoverable strains and higher sensitivity and smaller time constants then foil strain gauges with on ranges linear dependence between resistance and strain. Compensation is realised by combination of thermally compensated quarter bridge with a look-up tables. For realising look-up tables measuring system was equipped by independent thermometer to be able to choose appropriate characteristic and to judge on its limitations. Acquired data shows that quarter bridge cannot be used by itself, namely when subzero temperatures might be reached. This is due to material properties of NiTi which affects maximal recoverable stress of the wire and which is dependent on temperature. We did several measurements of thermal characteristics, stress-strain and resistance-strain characteristics. It was used for software development. The used model allowed to skip some of the model creation processes, resulting model has been validated by measurement.

- ItemGuidelines for Writing Bachelor or Master Thesis(Technická univerzita v Liberci, 2019-01-01) Plíva Zdeněk; Drábková Jindra; Koprnický Jan; Petržílka LeošThis textbook comprises a summary of requirements specifed by standards, regulations and notices in effect that apply to writing fnal reports at the Technical University of Liberec. Its principal purpose is to provide guidance for the students at the Faculty of Mechatronics, Informatics, and Interdisciplinary Studies to writing a bachelor or master thesis. Except the faculty logo, it may be utilized for other parts of the university, too. Besides the formal requirements for each chapter in a fnal paper, the textbook further overviews basic typographic rules, principles of handling pasted objects as well as a brief description of PDF fle operations. This text was originally prepared in Czech language according to Czech language and standards. In this translation we tried to adapt basic rules of English written language.

- ItemTest response compaction method with improved detection and diagnostic abilities(Elsevier BV, 2018-01-01) Novák Ondřej; Plíva ZdeněkThis paper describes a test response compaction method that preserves diagnostic information and enables performing a test-per-clock offline test. The test response compaction system is based on a chain of T flip-flops. The T flip-flop signature chain can preserve the information about the positions of the erroneous test response occurrence and the information about the clock cycle when the erroneous test responses occurred. This information can be used for diagnostic purposes. An algorithm that localizes errors according to the T flip-flop chain output is presented. The paper discusses the possible benefits and limitations of the proposed test pattern compaction scheme. The influence of multiple errors on detection and localization capability of the compaction system and hardware overhead is discussed in the paper as well. The probability of error masking is analyzed, the proposed scheme provides substantially lower masking probability than a D flip-flop chain and a MISR. The scheme can spare the test time by the test-per-clock arrangement. The hardware overhead and reached test time are given for several benchmark circuits in the paper as well.
