    Ekonomické přínosy využití EDI ve společnosti Monroe Czechia, s.r.o.

    My diploma thesis deals with problems associated with electronic data interchange (EDI) in company Monroe Czechia, s. r. o., Hodkovice nad Mohelkou. The purpose of this thesis is to analyse current level of using EDI and to propose its wider usage, particularly switching over to electronic invoicing. Information used in diploma work originate from listed literature and from experiences acquired during work in logistic department. Important terms such as e-business forms, EDI message structure, ways of EDI communication, UN/EDIFACT international standards, EANCOM message standards, digital signature etc. are described in theoretical part. Practical part of my thesis contains determination of areas demanding huge quantity of paper, human resources and areas causing time delay. From documents suitable for EDI a customer invoice was chosen. The project proposing switching from paper over to electronic invoicing includes calculation, comparison of both ways of invoicing and analysis of economic benefits for the company.

    Optimalizace skladových zásob

    The bachelor degree thesis deals with the stock optimation in the company Monroe Czechia, s. r. o., Hodkovice nad Mohelkou. The purpose of this treatise is to analyse the current situation in the company and to suggest alternative ways of handling logistic problems, especially those which concern variations in customers´requests. The treatise is based on information drawn from the mentioned literature and from knowledge gained during the work in the logistic department. First of all the treatise describes and explains important logistic terms such as logistic costs, disconnection point, push- and pull-systems and two different approaches to stock holding. More detailed attention is given to production and logistic strategies, their benefits and limitations. The main chapter contains an analysis of the current inventory control and two suggestions relating to fluctuating customers´ demands. The first suggestion is to postpone the disconnection point and the second offer is to start making enquiry prognosis by customers whose requests are cyclically changing. The main goal of this work is to offer proposals of how to stay flexible towards customers together with low stock level.
