    Japan always ranked among the countries with the strongest economies. This diploma work engages with describing the economic expansion in Japan. In the first parts the diploma work engages in the extreme rise of Japan after the second world war untill the 1990s. It studies which factors contributed to the increase of such a downtrodden country. In next parts the diploma work elucidates us when the japanese economy stopped growing at such extreme rates and began to predominantly decline. There is an outline of some government reforms which should help the growth of the economy. In last part it introduces us with the present situation of the japanese economy. In the first half of the current decade the japanese economy overcame stagnation and began to growth again. In the end it points out that the cooperation of the Czech Republic with Japan affects our economy profitably.
