It presents a contemporary trend in applied arts lessons as an initial point for artefiletic disciplines. It refers to the founder of this art movement Jan Slavík who defines necessary parts for artefiletics and differences between typical applied arts lessons and artefiletic ones. It also deals with suitable deduction of applied arts rows with artefiletic topics for students with mild mental retardation.The practical part deals with qualitative summary of findings gathered by analysis of students art works and approaches to given applied arts tasks. Kazuistics aims at income of artefiletics to students with mild mental retardation. Gathering of information and data and their subsequent analysis could show the suitability and meaningfulness of integration of artefiletic methods and applied arts rows into applied arts lessons.
