    Dopady americké hypoteční krize na ekonomiku České republiky

    This dissertation deals with financial crisis and its impact on the economy of the Czech Republic. Financial crisis is currently moving the world, and that is the reason why it became the topic of this dissertation. In the beginning there is the explanation of the origin of financial crisis and its process in USA. Spreading of crisis from USA to other countries, mainly in Europe and Japan, follows. This paper concentrates on European development. Next is the description of direct influence of the crisis on Czech financial market and the mechanism, through which its impact shifted from financial market to the rest of the Czech economy. After that, there is the development of several economic indicators, which are important for Czech economy, such as industry, especially automotive, trade balance, unemployment or small and medium enterprises. The following part concentrates on anti-crisis measures, those which come from the European Union as well as those which were proposed by Czech authorities (central bank and government). Conclusion provides summary of the topic and attitudes with regard to stated hypotheses.
