    Zhis Bachelor´s dissertation concerns the imposition and execution of an alternative punishment to the punishment of imprisonment,namely the community service order withinthe conditions of our society.It is necessary to create patiently and carefully premises to the aim that the community service order would be understood both by the society and also by the judges,which impose zhis specific penalty to the offender,and last but not least,by the offenders themselves as a necessary presumption of their quick and unperturbed return into the society.Zhe purpose has been to explain as much as possible the theoretical punishment of the community service,its legal regulation,meaning,imposition,execution,purpose and its perspectives within the Criminal Laww and to find out,if the community service order fulfills its function in comprison to the execution of imprisonment. The dissertation involves two parts: a theoretical and a practical part.The theoretical part concerns zhe meaning and the activities of the Probation and mediation service,it explains the individual kinds of alternative punishments within the legislative conditions in the Czech republic and it concentrates on closer recognition with the punishment of the community service order within the context of the restorative justice of the Czech Republic,on its legl regulation,imposition,meaning,execution,purpose and tits perspectives in the Criminal Law.In the practical part have been in the District of Nymburk by means of questionnaires found out the opinions on the meaning of the community service punishment of the convicted persons and of the persons who give the community service tasks,the opinions of its imposition,execution and purpose.The questions for the practical part of my bachelor´s dissertation I have tried to choose in such a way that they do not seem to be to personal and the respondents would answer as many questions as possible.
