    Kýč ve výtvarném umění industriální epochy

    The bachelor thesis deals with kitsch in industrial era. Its objective is to cover this issue interdisciplinarily because it is closely connected with, above all, sociology, psychology, politology but it is also necessary to consider philosophy. In the first part the thesis researches into the origin and development of kitsch in terms of its etymology and history. It aims to define it and to find the preconditions which allow such enquiring. Furthermore it tries to draw attention to kitsch as a cultural phenomenon originating primarily through intersubjective relations and psychologization. In this context the thesis points out to risks arising from kitsch, affecting individuals as well as the society and it finds both the place of origin and the reason behind these risks. The reality is therefore analysed by a research, which shows how certain respondents relate to kitsch. The conclusion of the paper tries to suggest some acceptable solutions.
