    The theoretical part of this thesis describes the information education at the secondgrade of primary schools with regard to the Framework education program for basiceducation. Then follows the historical development of children's magazines from the riseof the children's magazineship in the 18th century up to current children's magazines. Themain emphasis is insisted on researching of diversity and contribution of these magazinesto the children's reader in the 21 century. Especially their structure, the tendency whichthey are issued with and then the possibility of additional usage, especially in the schoolpractice in terms of their information value.The main solved problem in the practical part of this thesis is identification oflevel of the usage of children's magazine as a source of information education at schoolpractice in the second grade of primary schools. Research was made by the questionnairesurvey on selected primary schools in the East Bohemia Region. Furthermore, there is anoutline of their benefits in this area and following proposals of a few own possibilities ofthe usage of specific children's magazines in educational process.
