    This diploma work is concerned with the subject of blended yarn. Its objektive is to check the prediction possibility of the blended yarn strength. The status of the actual knowledge about this theme has been located firstly in the literature retrieval relating to the prediction posibility of the blended yarn strength and the appropriate theories of the strength modelling. In the following experimental section are noted the measured results of the strength of chosen yarn set with the nominal fineness 20tex, 29,5tex and 45tex and with a different blending share. At the end of this diploma work is introduced the evaluation, which is based on the comparison of the experimental values with the chosen models for prediction and assesment of the appropriate conclusions.
