    The aim of this thesis was to verify the possibilities of the stock management improvement in the company PRECIOSA ORNELA, a.s., in particular the production manufactured in the glassworks Polubný. In order to achieve the objectives of this thesis it was necessary to get acquainted with the issue of logistics and to focus mainly on the issues of stock management. The first task was to analyze ABC products manufactured in the glassworks Polubný, which were divided into categories A, B and C. The second task was to determine the economic order quantity, whereby the recommended order quantity was set at the lowest possible costs possible. The procedure of the safety stock determination complemented the above outlined process. The changes in the stock management, which stemmed from the results, were recommended as well as further steps for improvement.
