In the introduction there is a definition of portal, its origin and characteristics. Next parts of the work are specialized in commercial portals. At first, an origin, evolution and characteristics of commercial portals are described. A method of benchmarking is pointed out. The diploma thesis is worked out for company ATLANTIS MARSHAL, a.s., an operator of commercial portal Abetinfo. The company and its services are characterized. In the practical part of the thesis, an analysis of commercial portals market is carried out. An important part of the work is implementation of benchmarkig. The portal Abetinfo is compared to the 13 most important rivals. The conception, language availability, services, design and especially catalog of companies is judged. The catalog of companies is the main service of portal Abetinfo. Strengths and weaknesses of portal Abetinfo are pointed out. In conclusion, a recommendation of changes is based upon researched data. These changes would conduce to better position of the portal at competitors fight.

In the introduction there is a definition of management and description of modern manager´s working as well. My work is focused on the most important function of management - communication. The theoretical part of the work describes emotional intelligence, communication model, functions of human communication and its motivation. Types of communication, principles of efficient communication and communication between cultures are also described. Readers are informed about Masarykova obchodní akademie in Jičín. In the practical part of my paper the effectiveness of communication between the school and the MOA students is searched. Strengths and weaknesses of this communication are pointed out. An important part of the work is drew conclusion and recommendation of changes, which should conducte to more efficient communication of the school.
