dc.description.abstract	Doktorská disertační práce nazvaná ?Inovační prostředí regionu a jeho vliv na podnikatelské subjekty? se zabývá problematikou inovací a konkurenceschopnosti v mikroekonomickém a makroekonomickém aspektu. Hlavním cílem práce bylo identifikovat bariéry inovačních aktivit podniků a zkoumat vliv inovací na konkurenční schopnost regionu. Za účelem splnění hlavního cíle bylo v roce 2011 realizováno výběrové dotazníkové šetření mezi středními a velkými firmami působícími v odvětvích klíčových pro inovační aktivity podniků. V rámci prvního dílčího cíle byly odhaleny bariéry inovačních aktivit podniků a hodnocena jejich významnost z hlediska inovační výkonnosti regionu, ve kterém mají podniky sídlo. V případě bariéry obtížný přístup k finančním prostředkům ze státního rozpočtu, z rozpočtu krajů a obce bylo prokázáno, že hodnocení její významnosti závisí na úrovni inovační výkonnosti regionu, ve kterém sídlí dotazované firmy. Tato bariéra byla jako závažnější vnímána firmami z regionů s vyšší úrovní inovační výkonnosti. Za významné byly dále považovány bariéry vytváření inovací: zastaralé technické vybavení, legislativa v oblasti inovačního podnikání a slabé napojení firem na vědeckovýzkumné instituce. Samostatně byla firmami uváděna jako velmi závažná bariéra absence dostatečných finančních zdrojů. Dále byla formulována doporučení na podporu vytváření inovací podniky, a to především zavedení opatření motivující podniky ke spolupráci s akademickou sférou, zkvalitnění vzdělávacího systému a zjednodušení administrativy. V rámci druhého dílčího cíle disertační práce byly konfrontovány výsledky vlastního výzkumu v oblasti bariér vytváření inovací podniky s výsledky obdobné studie realizované Technologickým centrem AV ČR, která se zabývala problematikou z pohledu institucí významných v oblasti tvorby nebo využívání znalostí a inovací. Byly prokázány značné rozdíly ve výsledcích dvou porovnávaných dotazníkových šetření. Lze tak diskutovat o tom, zda instituce dotazované v rámci šetření Technologického centra AV ČR adekvátně postihly skutečné potřeby firem. Třetím dílčím cílem disertační práce bylo zkoumání vlivu inovační výkonnosti regionu na jeho ekonomickou úroveň, již lze považovat za měřítko jeho konkurenceschopnosti. Na základě provedených analýz lze vyjádřit závěr, že ekonomická úroveň regionu je závislá na jeho inovační výkonnosti. Regiony EU úrovně NUTS 2 s vyšší úrovní inovační výkonnosti dosahují vyšší ekonomické úrovně než regiony s nízkou úrovní inovační výkonnosti.	cs
dc.description.abstract	The PhD thesis called ?Innovation environment of a region and its impact on enterprises? addresses innovation and competitiveness from the microeconomic and macroeconomic points of view. The main objective of the PhD thesis was to identify barriers of innovation activities of enterprises and explore the impact of innovation on the competitiveness of the region. In order to fulfil the main goal, a sample survey among medium and large companies operating in key sectors for innovation activities of enterprises was conducted. Significant barriers of innovation activities of enterprises were identified in the first sub-objective, further; they were evaluated in terms of innovation performance of the region where the enterprises are located. In the case of the difficult access to funds from the state budget, regional and municipalities budgets barrier, it has been proved that the evaluation of its significance is dependent on the level of the innovation performance of the region where the surveyed enterprises are located. This barrier was perceived as more serious by enterprises from regions with higher level of innovation performance. Other barriers were regarded as significant, such as: obsolete technical equipment, legislation in the field of innovative entrepreneurship and weak cooperation with research institution. In addition, enterprises added lack of sufficient financial resources as a serious barrier as well. Further recommendations have been formulated to support the creation of innovation by enterprises, particularly the introduction of measures encouraging enterprises to cooperate with the academic sector, improving the educational system and simplifying administration. In the second sub-objective, the PhD thesis research results were confronted with the results of a similar study conducted by the Technology Centre ASCR. This study addresses the issue from the major institutions in creation and use of knowledge and innovation point of view. Significant differences of the results of the two compared surveys have been shown. It could be discussed whether institutions questioned by the Technology Centre ASCR appropriately described real needs of the enterprises. The third sub-objective was to investigate the influence of the region?s innovation performance on its economic level, which could be considered as a measure of its competitiveness. It is possible to conclude that the region?s economic level is dependent on its innovation performance. EU regions at NUTS 2 level with a higher innovation performance level reach higher economic level than regions with a low innovation performance.	en
