Abstract
Zajištění dýchacích cest je základním prvkem řetězce přežití. Abychom dokázali dýchání, coby základní životní funkci zajisti i v době, kdy pacient není schopný udržet volné dýchací cesty, musíme mít dobré znalosti o anatomických, fyziologických a patologických vlastnostech souvisejících s potížemi pacienta. K tomu musíme mýt dobré znalosti a orientaci v pomůckách vyvinutých pro tento účel, nebo improvizovanými způsoby docílit průchodnosti dýchacích cest dle svých kompetencí. K těmto předpokladům se dále pojí znalosti o indikacích, kontraindikacích a komplikacích spojených s využitím těchto pomůcek a postupů. Teoretická a výzkumná část je zaměřena na toto téma, přičemž v teoretické části se snažíme seznámit s výše uvedenými body a ve výzkumné části zjišťujeme znalosti zdravotnických záchranářů o pomůckách, postupech a kompetencích k zajištění dýchacích cest zdravotnickým záchranářem.
Airway management is an essential factor of the survival chain. To ensure breathing as a basic life function, even though the patient is unable to maintain a free airway, we have to have a good knowledge of the anatomical, physiological and pathological traits related to the patient's trouble. To do this, we must have good knowledge and orientation in devices developed for this purpose. Sometimes we have to use our skills to improvise to reestablish airflow into the lungs. It is based on assumption that we have good command of indications, contraindications and complications connected with the use of these devices and procedures. Both parts - theoretical and research are based on this topic. In the theoretical part we try to familiarize ourselves with the above points and in the research part we find out the knowledge of paramedics' devices, procedures and competencies for airway management by a paramedic.
