Diplomová práce v první části pojednává o problematice 3D skenování, seznamuje čtenáře s pojmem digitalizace a ukazuje využití a základní principy 3D skenování. Druhá část pojednává o samotném postupu návrhu skenovacího zařízení pro skenování osob a objektů. Na základě návrhu následně dojde ke stavbě reálného zařízení
