A CFD Simulation using ANSYS Fluent was made to study the Temperature, and liquid mass fraction as molten Aluminum solidifies in a Steel container, the study is concerned with the properties of Aluminum assuming external conditions of convection heat transfer as well as heat conduction through the walls, several properties of Aluminum are defined through piece-wise linear equation that changes with the temperature
