Abstract
Kostní metastázy patří mezi nejčastější místa šíření zhoubných nádorů. Cílem mé bakalářské práce je poukázat na důležitost paliativní léčby u onkologicky nemocných pacientů trpící sekundárními nádory právě v oblasti skeletu. Práce má objasnit základní principy a pojmy z radiační onkologie, diagnostiku tohoto onemocnění i možnosti paliativní péče. Cílem je také přiblížit algoritmus vlastního ozáření. Praktická část se zaměřuje na analýzu souboru pacientů léčených v určitém období v Liberecké radiační onkologii. Závěrem je zhodnocen význam paliativního ozáření.
Bone metastases are among the most common sites of cancer spread. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to highlight the importance of palliative treatment in cancer patients suffering from secondary tumors in the skeletal region. The thesis aims to explain the basic principles and concepts of radiation oncology, the diagnosis of this disease and the possibilities of palliative care. The aim is also to present the algorithm of the actual radiation treatment. The practical part focuses on the analysis of a group of patients treated in a certain period in Liberec radiation oncology. Finally, the significance of palliative irradiation is evaluated.
