Edukace onkologických pacientů s chemoterapií
Abstract
Chemoterapie je často využívanou metodou léčby onkologických onemocnění. Je doprovázena mnohými nežádoucími účinky a komplikacemi, které mohou značně ovlivňovat zdravotní stav pacienta. Z tohoto důvodu je důležité, aby onkologicky nemocní věděli, jak těmto situacím předcházet a jak je řešit. Práce je zaměřena na edukaci onkologických pacientů s chemoterapií. V teoretické části se zabývá obecnými principy chemoterapie, jejími nežádoucími účinky, a edukací obecně, včetně specifik edukace těchto pacientů. Výzkumná část analyzuje výsledky dotazníkového šetření. Na jejich základě je vytvořen návrh edukačního standardu.
Chemotherapy is frequently and routinely used as a method of treatment of oncological diseases. There are many side effects and complications that may substantially affect the health of the patient during treatment. For this reason, it is important that the patients comprehend the risks and side effects of said treatment and subsequently understand how to prevent and treat the undesirable effects. This thesis focuses on the education of oncology patients with regards to the neoplastic treatment of chemotherapy. The theoretical component addresses the general principles of chemotherapy, its side effects, and the education, the specifics of education of these patients including. The research component analyzes the results of a questionnaire administered to patients receiving treatment. The questionairre generated statistics of patient treatment comprehension. This information was used to draft an educational standard.
