Abstract
Práce se zabývá specifickou odnoží designu, tzv. vernakulární architekturou. Cílem práce je redefinovat tento termín a pokusit se ukázat, že definice jeho principů a jejich následné implementování v rámci architektonické a designérské tvorby by mohly přispět k řešení současných akutních problémů architektonické praxe - tedy především klimatické krize a udržitelného designu, ale také celospolečenskému přijetí současné architektury. Výzkum probíhal metodou "research through design". Práce má teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou prezentovány jednotlivé principy vernakulární architektury, tedy autenticita stavby, intuice při navrhování, přiměřený výsledný komfort, péče o stávající hmotné dědictví, minimalismus, role řemesla, ctění materiálu, zapojení komunity do procesu stavby, etika v rámci projekční praxe a celková udržitelnost stavby. Tyto principy jsou prezentovány na stavebních experimentech, které tvoří druhou, praktickou část práce. Ty jsou z důvodu lepší názornosti a možnosti porovnání jednotlivých aspektů prezentované ve dvojicích: Hnízdo - Tree house; Útulna 1.0 - Útulna 2.0; Sauna 1.0 - Sauna 2.0; Ateliér - Zen house. Součástí je i popis dalších plánovaných experimentů, které se více soustředí na práci s již existujícími objekty.
The work deals with a specific branch of design, namely vernacular architecture. The aim of the work is to redefine this term and attempt to show that defining its principles and subsequently implementing them within architectural and design practice could contribute to solving current urgent problems in architectural practice - primarily the climate crisis and sustainable design, but also the societal acceptance of contemporary architecture. The research was conducted using the "research through design" method. The work has both theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part presents the individual principles of vernacular architecture, namely the authenticity of the building, intuition in design, appropriate resulting comfort, care for existing tangible heritage, minimalism, the role of craftsmanship, respect for materials, community involvement in the construction process, ethics in design practice, and overall sustainability of the building. These principles are presented through building experiments, which form the second, practical part of the work. These are paired for better illustration of individual aspects: Nest - Tree house; Shelter 1.0 - Shelter 2.0; Sauna 1.0 - Sauna 2.0; Studio - Zen house. It also includes a description of other planned experiments that focus more on working with existing objects.
