    My work is mostly inspired by the carnival in Venice as well as Venice inself. I have made a clothing line collection in which I express the connection between the carnival culture and modern contemporary Venice. My other source of inspiration have been parrots, particularly their wings which I have remodelled into the pattern of the Jacquard farbic.

    This Diploma Thesis focuses on creating of new textile structures by means of patterning of fabrics by laser machine Marcatex 150 Flexi which may be applied and used with common dresses. The new structures are created on the fabric material with nap or pile. When using the system of patterning of fabrics by laser a relief is embossed into the fabrics which cannot be imitated by any other technology. This Diploma Thesis has tested different settings of the laser beam on fabrics with different nap composition. The irradiated material was monitored and measured with respect to a change of its characteristic features which might influence efficiency and particularly utility in the textile production. All these factors have been tested to discover the best combinations of laser parameters and composition of the fabrics to find out any new possibilities how to pattern fabrics for textile compositions. Fashion collection is then created as a consequence of the idea to use such patterned fabrics in dresses. New fabric pattern and the dress composition are inspired by an organic architecture.
