    This thesis portrays motives of home in Jarmila Glazarová's writings. The methodology consists of scientific analysis of literature and interpretation. The starting point is studying the author's published books and also other special sources. The aim of the thesis is to depict the given theme using analyses of the author's prosaic writings. The introductory chapter describes the writer's life, the following parts are aimed at her fictional and journalistic output. In individual chapters are examined especially those motives which are connected with her native land.
