    Hospodářská krize a její dopad na trh ICT a firmy působící v tomto oboru

    This thesis addresses the impacts of current economic crisis upon the market of the Information and Communication Technologies in the Czech Republic. The opening part of the paper documents and analyzes the ICT market. First, I focus on determination and specifics of the ICT market, its position on the worldwide scale and its economic importance. I also discuss the reasons that caused the beginning and the shift of the economic crisis from the United States of America to the European Union and eventually into the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic is a small open economy, with considerable income from the foreign trade with the countries, especially from the European Union. Therefore, in the practical section of this thesis the description is provided for the following indicators of export and import of the Czech ICT goods and services. Analysis of the impact of the crisis on companies operating in the ICT market is carried out using indicators: the number of companies, sales companies, value added, expenditures on research and development, the number of employed persons, the average gross annual salary, number of IT professionals. The overall aim of this thesis is to analyze the impacts of the current economic crisis on the Czech economic system and also on the Czech market of the Information and Communication Technologies and companies operating in this field.
