    This diploma thesis shows the changes of the Decalogue (The Ten Commandments) through ages. The thesis is focused on its change and modification, shows the changes in understanding its meaning and its different influence on people. The thesis compares the interpretation of the Decalogue in the context of different historic periods. Differences in interpretation are supported by the analysis of the texts and literature of the concrete period. The thesis also involves the ethical reflexion of human behaviour according to the interpretation of the Decalogue by important personalities of the given period.
